The Marty and Cheryl Ewing Educational Fund

“The Children’s Fund has established the Marty and Cheryl Ewing Educational Fund to further the education of the most disadvantaged young people  in Yolo County.  The  Children’s  Fund will provide  $2000.00 scholarships to assist with financial barriers for high school seniors and subsequent year fund recipients from foster care, the juvenile justice system, or other disadvantaged backgrounds as they embark on their journey into higher education opportunities such as but not limited to community college, vocational programs and a four-year institutions public or private.”

Deadline to submit application is February 6th, 2026

1. A recommendation from a teacher or other support person
2. This is a needs-based scholarship intended to help those who have experienced
   difficult financial barriers to higher education. Please Provide a statement explaining why you would make a good candidate for this scholarship.
